During week 6, our group shoot Project B in photo studio and corridor. I worked as camera assistant, and control the lighting throughout the shooting.
After that, we were tasked to edit the video.

After that, I proceed to colour grading to match to the storyboard.

TikTok Video
The theme of the tiktok video is 'Campus Life'. For my idea, I want to film how i get motivated in school, rather than working at home for the assignment.
This is the basic plan for tiktok video
During the independent week, I went to film with my friend in school. For the location, I decided to shoot in the library, school entrance, and corridors. For the editing tool, Mr Martin said we can use mobile app, but I decided to use premiere pro instead, because, I need to cut several scenes and make some transitions in between the video.
In the beginning, I want to make transition from my room to school entrance. I used the slide to create swipe between one video to another.

After that, I create directional blur to create smoother swipe effect.

to create adjustment layer : right click on project panel > New item > Adjustment layer
This effect applies when transition between school campus to library.
In the middle of the video, I added the scene which I procrastinate while doing the assignment. In the scene, I decided to use mask to combine to scene ; working the assignment and procrastinating.

First, record two scene in same position. Then, mask out the area needed using the pen tool.

And I am able to add two people in one scene

The rest of the video, I cut the scenes, according to the background music.

REFLECTION
This was my first time that involved in video shooting. Although my job is only camera assistant, I went to help camera director with lighting and changing the camera lenses if needed. Before we start, we did not plan our dialogue and venue properly, and there was a delay in shooting. I worried that I could not do my role but with the advice by the director and camera director, I was managed to play my part.
During the editing, colour correction was really challenging because when I adjust the colour grading according to the storyboard, the skin colour become too dark, or the colour of the clothes become to bright. After the project, I realised that I really need more practice in colour correction.
For tiktok video, I went through a lot of trials and errors. I filmed with my friends during the independent learning week, and I get a lot of inspiration from my friend while helping her video. Some of her ideas are really interesting, such as masking method and I went to shoot similar. In final, I did not follow my storyboard too much, and planned the video structure while shooting. I had difficulty in smooth transition and took several shot to not create weird pause in between. To my perspective, my final video is not following tiktok trend, but I learnt different premiere tools in editing, and learnt that planning is really important before the shooting. If not, we had to reshoot several shots, and wasting the time.
