REFLECTION
Throughout the typography lesson, I enjoyed the task given and satisfied
the final outcome for each task because i never done any typography lesson
during my diploma. I learnt new software, adobe InDesign and how to handle
large amount of text. It also helps me to become more self- directed
learner by thinking and observing to develop my works and refer to the
reference books. Sometimes, I was unsure where to start or missing in my
design, but Mr Vinod provide necessary comments and guide us to check our
work as a designer. As looking back through my work, I can see that my
quality of work in improving, at first, I was to much focused on design as
illustrations, but as I move on, I am more stick with the minimal design,
with good readability.
Observation
After learning typography is everywhere, I become more observant person to
think and study whenever I approach to different typefaces, or layout of
the text. I am become more critical thinking person by referring other
people's work and references to compare and what do I need to
develop for my design.
Finding
Previously, I only know typography is just font and title design, but it
is more technical adjustment especially when we handle large amount of
text. For example, such adjusting kerning or alignment of the text make
big difference in visuals.
