Week 10

Hungry step family 

1. colour scheme

Base on our feedback, we modify the yellowish colour into white.

2. Intro

In the intro scene, we find that the previous layout is not visually appealing and seems empty, hence we zoom in the character, add the narration text and apply typography animation.

3. App showcase

For app showcase scene, we noted down what features to show based on the narration, and utilise our characters. Instead of placing the phone in the middle, we put each characters on the side of the phone and apply a little bit of animation, to show that they are using the app.

As we have to follow the design direction of MBTIC' group, me and Derin discuss how we can implement the designs to our current pitch video. After the ideation, we choose to utilise the mascot and put them as the narrator. We send our current ideas and previous video to MBTIC, and they gave some suggestions.

For my side, I only made changed for the intro by adding the mascot and typo animation, and combine two scene ; toilet and office.

I placed the mascot in the middle, and play with the placement of the narration texts.

For the next scene, I combine two scenes and zoom in slowly while the mascot is zooming out.

REFLECTION

It was challenging to change the synopsis and utilise character mascot within one week. At first, me and Derin was stuck but after the discussion we managed to came out good ideas and get some helps from mbtics group. Also, I was satisfied with giving the feedback to the app design and fortunately Takuto accept the ideas and developed it perfectly. I was the person who hesitate to give the feedback or ideas to someone, but throughout the project, I think I improved this kind of bad habitat, and improved in communication skill.
